About Barnfield Cottage
Main living and dining areas
You enter the cottage through a lobby into the living/dining room. The living room has the original brick fireplace with an inset log burning stove which adds character to the room. There is leather seating with oak flooring and dining table with enough room to seat 6 people. From the living room you enter the fully equipped kitchen with stove. The kitchen contains a stove, with gas hob and electric oven, fridge with small freezer compartment, washer/dryer and slimline dishwasher.
The kitchen leads to a small lobby off which is the main bathroom, containing over the bath shower, hand basin, toilet and heated towel rail.
Three bedrooms, one with en-suite shower
You go up the steep stairs, not suitable for the elderly or infirm, to the bedrooms. There is a cloakroom at the top of the stairs containing toilet and hand basin. The main bedroom has a double bed with en-suite shower room and has a pleasant view overlooking the front garden. The second bedroom has a single bed and overlooks the back garden.
Going up a second flight of stairs you come to the third bedroom in the roof. This has low sloping ceilings so please mind your head. The bedroom contains two single beds and velux windows on both elevations giving the room plenty of light.
Garden, summerhouse and patio
The main garden is at the front of the house with a grassed area leading to a summerhouse and patio. The patio gets sun for most of the day and outdoor furniture is provided in the summerhouse.
Parking, storage and further garden
There is parking for at least four cars at the front of the cottage. The house is separated from the parking area by a small access road used only by the other eight cottages in the row.
To the rear of the property is an outbuilding, which can be used to house bikes or other outdoor equipment.
There is also a back garden for visitors' use; this is separated from the cottage by a footpath.
